Horizon Spell
A series of paintings mostly on wood panel where composition is revealed through unearthing previous layers of paint rather than concealing them. Tools like steel brushes, paint knives and other paint removers are utilized to break and dig into its thick layers. Methods of stenciling and spray paint are employed. Design becomes a process of distressing, removing, and recovering; rather than a process of construction and building.
